The CVs would provide CAP for the combat fleets (adding to the total ACV or making it easier to pass thresholds). (I think I saw someone suggest something like this on reddit) where you could equip up to 2 BB or CV. I'm fine with air parity slightly weakening your airstrikes, but enemy air power should also not have a buff/nerf).Īlternatively, they could take a route similar to submarines, and give us a "support fleet" slot or two. Maybe make it so having at least one CV present that equips fighters is a guaranteed air parity rating, and change the air parity status to be net neutral (currently air parity still has your fleet take more damage from enemy planes and your strikes do less damage. I would think that the ACV thresholds would need to be changed too. What, like how would you rate/rank AA power into ACV? Some sort of combination between the AA gun's DPS and range, modified by the ships' collective AA efficiency would be a good place to start.Total AA stat of each ship would probably have to play in somewhere too Mixed/non-thematic fleets outside of hard mode trigger my mild OCD. Making AA count towards the ACV value would go a long way in helping out the minor factions that don't have a CV, or many CVs to pick from. I should be able to have a fleet stacked with AA power and not need a stupid CV to counter enemy air power. And to make matters worse, the ACV you have to achieve in this event feels too high. If you don't bring a CV, you just flat out get a massive penalty. I hate how it doesn't even account for the relative anti-air power of the fleet. The whole air cover mechanic in azur lane needs work.
